The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the quality and integrity of all products produced for distribution. Monitors processes and procedures in product development and design under the guidance of the quality management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Constructs and alters quality assurance test plans according to product specifications.
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of testing standard, processes and systems that align with industry
- Inspects product at job sites to substantiate customer's claim of product defects.
- Collects and records results of sampling and testing to maintain record of product quality.
- Identifies potential quality issues and escalates the issue to management when necessary.
- Prepares quality reports for internal review.
- Analyzes data and recommends potential improvements in the quality system.
- Revises and updates standard operating procedures as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in business, computer science or other related discipline.
- 0 – 2 years of experience with quality systems management including an emphasis in quality assurance
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office products and MRP/ERP software.
Physical Demands:
- The role is mostly office-based but may spend some time standing and walking on the production floor.
- May be required to operate a computer and/or other office devices.
- Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 30 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Predominately office environment with occasional exposure to the production floor.
- While on the production floor, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required
