Position Overview: Thrive Freeze Dry, LLC is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our products through the implementation and management of comprehensive quality assurance protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and execute weekly environmental testing in production and food distribution areas.
· Conduct gluten tests on finished products and raw ingredients as per schedule.
· Perform organoleptic tests daily.
· Maintain accurate records of environmental test results and micro-results.
· Generate and distribute daily and weekly reports to designated recipients.
· Collaborate with third-party labs for sample submission and testing.
· Coordinate monthly USDA testing and compile required reports.
· Ensure timely submission of quarterly egg and gluten reports to regulatory bodies.
· Assist in the scheduling and execution of annual equipment calibrations.
· Conduct mock recalls for both regular and organic products as needed.
· Review and update quality assurance documentation, including SOPs and inspection sheets.
· Support external audits conducted by regulatory agencies and customers.
· Monitor stock levels and procure necessary materials for quality assurance activities.

Qualifications:
· Technically trained or bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
· Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment or quality assurance role.
· Familiarity with regulatory standards such as USDA, FDA, SQF, Kosher, etc.
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
