Quality Control Analyst performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. Being a Quality Control Analyst compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Quality Control Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     The Quality Control (QC) Technician at Aqua-Chem performs a variety of inspections and non-destructive tests (NDT) to ensure product compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
    Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

    Pay Range: Dependent On Experience

    Essential Duties:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Inspect the quality of manufactured products or subcomponents to ensure contract requirements are met
    • Perform NDT (VT, PT, & MT) per job specific requirements
    • Verify specified dimensions of products or materials, physical properties and size of materials such as plates, sheets, structural shapes, castings, fixtures, and components produced by fabricating processes
    • Compare Engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate completion of assembly
    • Effectively interface with production, engineering, and sales personnel to ensure quality standards and processes are followed
    • Understand and follow quality assurance systems, processes, and procedures
    • Follow Company safety and security policies and procedures.
    • Completes tasks/projects as assigned in a timely manner
    • Upholds the company’s core values
    Other Duties:
    • Duties as assigned by Quality Supervisor
    Education/ Experience:
    • High School diploma or GED required
    • AWS -CWI preferred but not required
    • Current or ability to obtain ASNTC and NDT Certifications in VT, PT, & MT required (Level III Certifications a plus) (RT & UT Certifications a plus)
    • Previous Government/Military experience a plus
    • Experience with ASME codes and standards
    • Understanding of welding, machining, fabricating, and similar process required
    • Experience with operating measuring devices (i.e. micrometer, Vernier calipers, etc.)
    Requirements:
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Work overtime as required
    Physical Skill and Effort: Limited manual dexterity required. Work requires simple, easy muscular movements.
    Working Conditions and Hazards: Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure.
