JOB TITLE: COMPLIANCE & QUALITY CONTROL INTERN

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position exists to provide support to the compliance and quality control departments. This position is responsible for learning, understanding, and assisting the quality control functions, including but not limited to reviewing existing reports and documenting errors and processing returned mail. This position will also learn banking regulations and how to apply those rules to the credit union. Communicate professionally and effectively with all staff and levels of management.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in completing quality control audits on new account records.
2. Assist with reviewing various reports to monitor consumer and business items.
3. Assist employees in need of additional member verification.
4. Assist in the monitoring of member activity.
5. Actively and thoughtfully communicate with their supervisor, planning their goals and development, taking accountability for their actions, and striving for excellence.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university majoring in a similar or related field.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. However, we do accept OPT/CPT.
One to three years similar or related experience.
Knowledge of credit union operations would be preferred but not required.
Analytical skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
