Quality Control Analyst performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. Being a Quality Control Analyst compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree. The Quality Analyst (QA) will work under the supervision of the Quality Department leader. The QA will review and analyze patients with specific medical conditions for their relevant outcomes related to complications, readmissions, mortality, and any other core measure and/ or patient outcome elements such as hospital acquired conditions and/ or patient safety indicators. The QA will ensure compliance with data abstraction specifications and submission requirements and work with multi-disciplinary teams to work on performance improvement opportunities.
Education: RN from an accredited school of nursing from an accredited school required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in either acute care hospital nursing or experience in healthcare quality/ performance improvement and basic computer skills. Strong clinical knowledge of critical thinking skills to evaluate appropriateness of clinical practice, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures for a variety of diseases and disorders.
