Responsibilities:
- Verifies dimensions and specifications of incoming materials using blueprints, measuring devices, such as micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, height gages, optical comparator, hardness tester, plug and ring gages, thread plug and ring gages and other measuring devices.
- Computes angles, radii, and other data not clearly given in specifications using necessary mathematics.
- Identifies and tags rejected or deviant material, recording and maintenance of inspection data.
- Assists with the coordination of deviant material problems.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports, logs, and MRP transactions.
- This role may include receiving all incoming material and completing all computer based MRP transactions.
- Maintains cleanliness of receiving area to meet or exceed safety standards.
- Reads and uses blueprints, measuring devices and testing apparatus used at Stature.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 - 2 years of related work experience dealing with precision measurement and inspection.
- 1 – 2 years of previous experience in a shipping and/or receiving preferred.
Physical Demands:
- This position primarily works in the production environment.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and stoop.
- May be required to operate a computer and/or other office devices.
- Occasionally may have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 40 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Predominately production environment with occasional exposure to the production floor.
- While on the production floor, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required to put on
