Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Electrical Quality Inspector to work in our Construction Quality department. Our team works onsite located out of our Central Facilities Area (CFA) facility, 4x10 schedule with every Friday off. This position will report to the Construction Quality Manager.
After hours and weekend overtime work will be required, especially during peak construction season, to support the INL mission.
Responsibilities Include:Activities include the performance of electrical inspection and general compliance to all subcontract, specification, and drawing requirements.
Provide electrical quality inspection support for INL to ensure compliance with DOE, Company, and customer specific requirements applicable to Quality Inspection.
Perform independent quality assurance inspection functions in support of general construction/project management activities at the INL and at subcontractor facilities.
Provide assistance to Quality Engineers during design reviews and inspection planning. Provide Inspector Certification activities in support of the INL Inspector Certification Program.
Perform technical reviews to maintain company level inspection procedures are accurate and correct.
Perform in process surveillances of complex wide program work to verify compliance with company quality program procedures.
Work will be performed to instructions provided in inspection planning packages and as directed by management.
High School and 6 years related experience.
A current Journeyman Wireman License
Master Electrician's License is required for level 5
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Will be required to perform overtime inspections on select nights and weekends.
Must obtain a commercial electrical inspector qualification with the International Code Council within 6 months of date of hire.
A good working knowledge of electrical testing equipment such as Continuity Testing Equipment, Insulation Resistance (Megger) Testing Equipment, Electrical Torqueing Equipment, and Fiber Optic Testing Equipment
Obtain and maintain a Rad Worker II qualification
Certified as a commercial electrical inspector with the International Code Council prior to start

Salary Grade TS0400: 180 ($64,272 - $102,840) / Salary Grade TS0500: 190 ($72,528 - $119,652)
