    This individual will be working under the direction of the VP of Operations and will manage the quality assurance function in our Vancouver, Washington location. This position includes a combination of Management Supervision and anticipation in the tasks necessary to ensure that Mercury Plastics, Inc. manufactures safe and consistent products of the highest quality as well as all products are in compliance with client’s specs and company standards. This individual must have strong leadership skills and is expected to adhere to Mercury Plastics, Inc. standards of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Loyalty, Caring and Commitment.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Supervises Quality Control Technicians.

    Helps Q/A QC Supervisor in the development, coordinate, and supervision of the Q/A QC program

    • Ability to oversee and coordinate all Mfg. production as well as monitor all scrap production.
    • Must have analytical proficiency to identify quality and damaged material(s), multi-task and be detail oriented
    • Capable of working in a multi-level personnel environment.
    • Assists in all audits both internal and external
    • Aids in training, coaching, mentoring, empowering and developing team members. This includes coordinating team involvement activities to drive “continued quality improvement” process.
    • Trains employees in quality systems and procedures.
    • Follows up on customer complaints and works together with management to reduce complaint’s
    • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
    • Develop new procedures and inspection methods in order for them to be implemented in Vancouver facility.

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    Bachelor of Science in Industrial Mfg. with appropriate Q/A experience.

    Must have 3-4 years previous Q/A experience in the Mfg. industry with 1-2 years as a supervisor.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

    Ability to handle multiple priorities in order to meet company demands.

    Bilingual Spanish/ English is a plus.

    Must be adaptable and flexible in work schedule.

    Assertive, high-energy person

    Strong leadership skills and communication skill are essential.

    Excellent planning skills, record keeping/documentation skills.

    Ability to work independently. Team-focused mentality.

    Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

    TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    General Safety

    Quality System Awareness.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds. This position spends 50% or more of the work time in the Manufacturing Plant.

    Work Environment:

    Combination of Mfg. area and Office Environment.

    Regular exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, fumes and chemicals.

    SALARY:

    Negotiable based on Experience.
