We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of a Human Resources Manager/ Generalist in a growing, family owned business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a deep understanding of the human resources function, and a proven track record in managing and implementing HR strategies that support the business objectives. This role requires a blend of strategic and hands-on experience, with a strong ability to navigate in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
2. Managing the recruitment and selection process, including interviewing and talent acquisition.
3. Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
4. Maintaining pay plan and benefits program, including 401K, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
5. Handling employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
6. Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.
7. Conducting garnishment processes and managing employee benefits.
8. Developing and monitoring overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
9. Nurturing a positive working environment and promoting corporate culture and values.
10. Assessing training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably managing the function for a small to midsize business
2. Proven experience in managing 401K, conducting interviews, handling garnishments, managing employee relations, benefits, and talent acquisition.
3. In-depth knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
4. Strong ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the business vision.
5. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
7. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
8. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
