Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Summary: The Quality Manager will direct SSI Technologies, LLC's quality assurance initiatives, ensuring that our products meet the highest industry standards and customer expectations. The position will maintain and improve our quality management system, drive continuous improvement with a focus on warranty and customer relations, and foster a culture of quality throughout the North American Operations.   Position Requirements: Develop and implement quality strategies, direction, and metrics that will drive a high performing and highly effective quality culture. Champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement of quality standards across the organization. Implement and oversee the maintenance, and continuous improvement of an effective Quality Management System. Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO and IATF), regulations, and customer specifications. Establish departmental policies, practices, and procedures to elevate and significantly impact product quality. Oversee the quality audit program to ensure the effectiveness of the quality control processes. Oversee the root cause analysis process, ensuring proper investigations and analysis of product defects or non-conformities. Partner with purchasing to evaluate and monitor supplier quality and address quality issues, implement improvements, and ensure incoming materials meet our standards. Lead and support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Implement statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement tools. Collaborate with customer support teams to address quality-related customer concerns. May participate in customer audits. Lead and mentor managers and team members by setting clear expectations and holding accountability for quality standards and performance. Will work with the executive team to develop and manage the quality budget. Ensure optimal utilization of resources and cost-effective execution meeting and exceeding quoted targets. Multi-Site responsibilities in the United States and Mexico. Job will require approximately 20% domestic and 20% international travel.   Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.   Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field,  required. Experience in a leadership role in manufacturing, required. Thorough understanding of quality control processes, statistical methods, and industry standards, required. Experience with ISO and IATF quality management system standards, required. Ten (10) years of related experience to be considered, required. Bilingual (Spanish speaking), preferred.   Key Attributes: Has high degree of latitude/minor oversight. Handles the most complex issues. Advanced level of knowledge.
