Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. IS Generalist

  • Under general supervision of the I.S. Infrastructure Architect, the Information Systems Generalist performs ongoing, day–to-day maintenance of the County’s software, computers, network systems, and servers.  The individual is responsible for providing quality and timely implementation of new software, upgrading of security packages, and assistance to users in all related computer and software programs.  This position requires a high quality of customer service to the user community with quick response and hands on technical support.   The individual maintains and reviews proper security permissions and policies for information systems including network equipment (firewall, switches, etc.), server, and applications.   This I.S. professional will also help to ensure stable operation of information systems and services.
    • Associate degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience in either application support or computer networking; or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position. 
    • Pass an initial comprehensive criminal background check and be subject to periodic background checks during the course of your employment in this position.
    • Valid State of New Mexico Driver's license or able to obtain within six (6) months of employment. 
    • Work is performed in an office environment; may be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor; may be subject to extended periods of intense concentration in the review of documents and reports. 
    • May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting such as retrieving files, records, and reports.
    • Required to sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary company information as part of daily duties.
    •  Full time work hours for this position consists of scheduled “on call” rotation as a requirement, including nights, weekends, and overtime. 
    • Work schedule for this position may include working on religious holidays. 
    • Utilize, process, and navigate the County’s electronic ERP system as necessary and appropriate based on the needs and requirements of this position. 
    • Some work duties may be performed “remotely” outside of County facilities. For remote access you must complete and maintain a current remote work agreement.

    • Conducting all job functions with an awareness of security technologies and best practices, making recommendations and implementing security measures to protect all County data and assets.
    • Installation and programming of Hyper-V virtual machine infrastructure. Including virtual machines and thin clients.
    • Provide level I and II support of virtual infrastructure, client hardware, and all applications for County facilities.
    • Assist in resolution of critical server and infrastructure failures.
    • Set up new users and mange user permissions in various IT systems.
    • Installing system upgrades and patches to all virtual infrastructure systems, network infrastructure, and applications.
    • Assist in administration of VOIP and network infrastructure.
    • Assist County elected offices at key times of the year with technology related needs.
    • May assist in administration of regular backup, storage, and retrieval functions of critical data. 
    • Design custom reports for departments as requested using various reporting tools including SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel. 
    • Monitor IS systems for proper operation and working conditions.
    • Developing and maintaining documentation and procedures for various IS systems.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.
