Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary

    Direct, lead and manage the development of a total quality environment with an emphasis on unexcelled customer satisfaction and continual quality improvement.  Accomplish quality related objects through the use of quality meetings, planning, training, statistics and internal/external audits.  Ensure that processes and products are in compliance and conformance with current implemented Quality Management System requirements.

    Job Description

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Coordinates ISO and AS standards, where applicable.
    • Reporting on the quality metrics to management and corporate executive leadership.
    • Creating and sustaining a quality attitude across all operations.
    • Manage daily tasks of site Quality Assurance Representatives.
    • Work with other department managers to establish goals, competencies and quality output in line with the established quality objectives.
    • Planning of and implementation of customer satisfaction effectiveness strategy.
    • The quality assurance manager is to lead and ensure Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adherence to:
      • Quality Assurance planning.
      • Customer and vendor claims and trend analysis.
      • Statistical techniques for process control.
      • Document major customer quality requirements.
      • Conduct internal and external Quality System audits.
      • Provide internal and external technical assistance.
      • Training and Development of employees in the area of quality, LEAN and Safety
      • Corrective/Preventative Action System (CPAR).

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • This is a Safety Sensitive role, the company is dedicated to the safety of all employees, and we are looking for candidates that are safety oriented to join our team.
    • 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control
    • Experience in TQM, ISO/QS 9000 ISO Assessor Certification, SPC
    • One year previous management experience
       

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • ASQ certification
    • ISO Lead Assessor Certification
    • 5 years plus Quality Assurance/Control experience.
    • 3 years management experience, leadership and team building training
    • Training in strategic planning and motivation

    Pay: $81,210 - $121,814
