Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations.     To be a successful QA/PI Coordinator you must become able to do the following always:

    1. Collect, analyze, and report data using appropriate software. Exercise discretion and judgement to determine trends and provide improvement recommendations, strategies, and reports to assigned programs and/or departments as needed.
    2. Lead and facilitate program record reviews and internal and external audits. Participate in Department of Children and Families (DCF) case reviews, case reads, and related meetings if applicable.
    3. Collaborate and support programs and permanency support services on compliance and performance improvement needs including review of performance reports, outcome success, and program goals and objectives.
    4. Partner with the Data Services Department on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) processes and workflows.
    5. Facilitate staffing’s and complete allegation and/or investigation tracking and reports including sentinel events. Participate in Team and Operations Meetings.
    6. Policy and procedure maintenance for assigned programs and/or departments.
    7. Assist in accreditation survey preparation, training, and communication. Remain knowledgeable and up to date on program standards to ensure the continuing conformance for quality programing.
    8. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.

    To qualify for this job, you need to have:

    1. Bachelor's degree in quality improvement, non-profit management, public administration, business, social work, child welfare, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. Demonstrate 2-year successful work-related experience in child welfare, quality management, social work, or business.
    3. 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
    4. Maintain company-required training.
    5. Ability to travel, driving company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to do the occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.  Able to walk upstairs.  Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.  The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
