Job Summary and Qualifications

Primary function of the Quotation Specialist is the accurate and timely completion of finished goods product quotations needed to secure new or modified surgical packs as requested by customers. Utilize existing product portfolio and database of projected costs to develop estimation production costs according to submitted specifications, considers all raw materials, labor, sterilization and transportation for estimations. CPS Quotation Specialist is responsible for researching new components that may be required utilizing industry knowledge to determine vendors, products, specifications, other information and/or pricing that are paramount for item setup for procurement of products for production. Develops first prototype sample for the Sales team for review and approval by the customer. Liaison for the Sales team by providing them analytical report and information needed to support their customer. Works under direct supervision and follows instruction from directors, managers, supervisors, team leaders or others designated to assist leadership in support of CPS.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares product quotes utilizing customer specifications submitted by clinical sales team and/or customers.
• Applies understanding of product knowledge to determine applicable item cross-referencing, as needed. Ensures appropriate product functionality is met while working within, and limiting existing material portfolio and suppliers.
• Performs routine industry and product research to ensure latest technologies, items, and pricing are available for use.
• Researches components, vendors, pricing as needed to meet customer specifications, collaborates with contracting team for directives.
• Works with CPS Sales team in developing first sample prototypes for customer approval based on submitted quotation.
• Ensures that prototypes are built in accordance with current policies and procedures, while developed in a method that provides clinical efficiencies for customer and reduces cost.
• Utilize data from product quotes to create report(s) to estimate projected costs and utilization for raw material, labor, overhead, sterilization, transportation and margin.
• Analyzes customer data for accuracy, trends, and opportunities to reduce costs and component and pack standardization.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively evaluate and present solutions to clinical and non-clinical personnel.
• Strong, effective communication skills.

EDUCATION

• High School Graduate/Equivalent Required
• Bachelor's degree Preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Experience of three years of progressive inventory management, production planning, group purchasing organization, and/ or perioperative experience Required.
