Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) jobs in the United States
Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Being a Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II consults with radiation oncologists and other clinical staff as needed. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II typically requires graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a physician or manager. The Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Radiation Therapist

In this position, you will deliver professional radiation therapy services, following established clinical guidelines to administer radiation treatments for both therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.
Salary: $58,462 - $93,387 per year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Treatment Delivery: Administer tailored radiation therapy treatments in close collaboration with the oncology team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
- Patient Education: Inform and guide patients through the treatment process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Therapy Administration: Implement radiation treatments according to the individualized treatment plans prescribed for each patient.
Qualifications:
- ARRT Certification: Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Texas Medical Board MRT Certification: Required.
- CPR-BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Licensure: Must be a licensed Radiologic Technologist in Texas.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating linear accelerators, CT scanners, and related computer systems.
