Radio Frequency Engineer develops products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and mixed signal capabilities. Responsibilities may include RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital converters, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design. Being a Radio Frequency Engineer develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new or updated products. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Radio Frequency Engineer typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Radio Frequency Engineer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     At Blue Ridge Public Radio (BPR), you ll match the art of relationship building with the science of fundraising to advance the organization s Development Plan, centering donor-centric, philanthropic partnerships.  As the leader of philanthropy in the organization, the Director of Donor Engagement is responsible for all fundraising efforts of Blue Ridge Public Radio concerning individual philanthropy, philanthropic, donor events, grantmaking and corporate partnerships.  You ll advance support of the organization s annual plan through all the various revenue streams, to include membership (annual fund), major giving, events, corporate giving, planned giving, foundations and grants, utilizing host of effective established resources, processes, and tools to increase contributed revenue to BPR.  

    Leading your own team of three and reporting to the CEO/GM, you ll also be a member of BPR s Leadership Team, charged with shepherding the transition of BPR from a rich legacy of broadcast operations to a multi-platform news and cultural organization, meeting donors on the continuum of engagement with the everyday work of BPR from news to music, broadcast to digital.

    Responsibilities
    We re looking for candidates with:
    • At least five years experience leading development department, including:  
      • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage with a wide range of donors and foster genuine, donor-centric, relationships.
      • Record of success in soliciting and closing philanthropic major gifts of impact and significance through the management of a portfolio of donors.
      • C-suite (or similar) leadership role on team of peers.
      • Proven track-record of developing and executing plans to meet and exceed financial goals and fundraising targets aligned with financial goals.  
      • Experience in direct management of department, cross functional teams and/or vendor partners.
      • Experience in and/or passionate about a coaching approach to supervision.
    • Outstanding communication skills interpersonal, verbal, and written to communicate the mission, goals, and activities of the institution.  
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills demonstrate leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail, creativity, and cultural sensitivity.
    • Demonstrated ability to think critically about donor data and apply insights to advance organizational strategy.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Superior skills at cross-team leadership and collaboration.
    • The highest level of professional integrity.
    • Experience with and commitment to the principles and work of diversity, equity and inclusion in content, staff and community partnerships.
    • Excellent verbal and visualization skills, especially in the presentation of complicated data.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and manage budgets and develop strategic plans.
    Compensation and benefits:Salary range is $90,000-$105,000 per year based on experience. In addition to salary and Worker s Compensation Insurance, BPR offers a compensation package that includes the following benefits:  
    • Employer Paid Health Insurance (BPR pays 80%, 20% pre-tax employee contribution)
    • Vision and Dental coverage (BPR pays 80%, 20% pre-tax employee contribution)
