Radio Frequency Engineer develops products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and mixed signal capabilities. Responsibilities may include RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital converters, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design. Under the direction of the Sergeant, the incumbent dispatches Police, Fire, and EMS services throughout the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation and to those surrounding communities requesting mutual aid. Completes incident reports, records handwritten and electronic logs, and completes other activity reports as required. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Experience as a dispatcher for a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) with Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD) and E-911 certification required.
Knowledge of dispatching equipment including Reverse 911 (R911), Next Generation (NG911), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management System (RMS), Eventide recording equipment, National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and other related electronic equipment required. Must have working knowledge of office equipment and have excellent verbal and writing skills.

Part 63, all applicants whose duties and responsibilities would allow them regular contact or control over children, must be subject to a thorough background investigation that will capture disqualifying convictions. The successful candidate must also understand NCIC regulations preventing persons convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanors from having access to those areas where NCIC computers or records may be located. An arrest and convictions for a felony or serious misdemeanor will necessitate the termination of the employee.

The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
