Summary:
The Radio Instructor provides training and evaluation in support of the MARSOC Communications training services for the Marine Special Operations Schoolhouse (MSOS S-6). The overall objective is to provide the MSOS S-6 with the capabilities to instruct entry level and advanced communications training while providing an evaluation of skills.

Responsibilities:

Provides tactical radio training and evaluation in support of the MARSOC Communication training pipeline.

Provides subject expertise, advise, and support to the Officer-in-Charge and staff regarding unit communication devices and network support for day-to-day operations.

Provides information following the training in the form of an analysis to ensure all training objectives were met.

Review and provide recommended changes to all Course Descriptive Data (CDD) and 19 Programs of Instruction (POI).

Provides feedback for course and/or instruction improvements.

Updates course material, POIs, syllabuses, and other pertinent data.

Attends coordination meetings and conferences, as needed, to coordinate future training events.

Develop implementation of organization’s short and long-term training requirements for all personnel to ensure there were enough courses being taught to meet the needs of Marine Corps information assurance requirements.

Instructs Marines individually on HF, VHF, & UHF Radio Systems covering:
-
Integrated Waveform (IW) Satellite Radio Communications.
-
Satellite (Dedicated) Radio Communications.
-
Adaptive Networking Wideband Waveform (ANW2).
-
High Performance Waveform (HPW).
-
Tactical Chat.
-
Line of Sight Communications (LOS).
-
Beyond Line of Sight Communications (BLOS) using job shadowing techniques.

Demonstrates step-by-step exactly how each task, using various methods needs to be completed/ performed/ achieved.

Supports one to two-week Derna Bridge exercise.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Education: Minimum H.S. degree, Bachelors preferred.
-
Expert knowledge of instructing and evaluating the utilization of computer applications and radio procedures, field expedient antenna employment, operation of the MARSOF MNOC, AN/PYQ-10 SKL, and tactical radios.

USMC Basic Instructor Course Certification.

Experience in MS Office Word, Excel, & PowerPoint suite applications.

Experience and use of DoD Directives.

Other CompTIA certification such as Security , SAT Certification, Information Assurance Certification.

Ability to multi-task and meet varying deadlines.
Security Clearance: Active Secret
Work environment:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
Work days: Monday – Friday
Core hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Travel: 10-20%
Scheduled Travel: Based on mission support.
