Radiologic Technologist performs radiological imaging examinations of patients using both stationary and mobile radiographic equipment. Positions patient as needed to obtain optimal images and prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Being a Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film, ensures proper film identification on all images, and creates x-ray CD copies. Files films, maintains medical records, and performs other related administrative duties. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Radiologic Technologist works under moderate supervision. As a Radiologic Technologist at NCG Associates, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions using advanced imaging equipment.

    Responsibilities
    • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, according to established protocols and physician orders
    • Position patients and utilize appropriate radiation safety measures to ensure accurate and high-quality images
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and interpret imaging results
    • Maintain all imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are met
    • Accurately document patient information and imaging results in electronic medical records
    • Educate and reassure patients about the imaging procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have
    • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
    • Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology and participate in continuing education program
    • Bachelor's degree in radiology technology or a related field
    • Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    • State licensure as a Radiology Technologist
    • Proven experience working in a radiology department or medical imaging center
    • Excellent knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and techniques
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality images
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
    • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other imaging software
    • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends
    • Strong commitment to patient care and safety

    Pay Rate: Very attractive depending on experience (Would be discussed during interview)

    Desired Start Date: ASAP

    Length of Assignment: 14 weeks

    Hours per Week: 40

    Shift and Time: 10.5hr Nights; Fri - Mon 830p-7a

    Weekend Rotation: Required

    On-call Requirements: None

    Holidays Requirements: Required based on unit needs

    Floating Requirements: 4 buildings that are attached that contain x-ray equipment.

    Experience Required: Minimum two years radiology experience, Level I experience, travel experience

    License Required: ARRT, KS license

    Certificate Required: BLS
