Being a Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film, ensures proper film identification on all images, and creates x-ray CD copies. Files films, maintains medical records, and performs other related administrative duties. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Radiologic Technologist works under moderate supervision. Qualifications:
12 months of recent patient care experience
Current clinical competencies
Valid California Radiologic Technologist License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Proficient in low radiation exposure practices
Skilled in emergency medical support
Familiarity with statewide radiology protocols
Ability to perform various radiographic examinations and special procedures
Competent in developing and processing x-ray exposures
