  • Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate On-Site Manager to join our team at Chaparral Ranch. The ideal candidate will have extensive horseback riding experience, along with a strong background in teaching lessons and managing staff. This position involves overseeing a team of instructors, trail guides, and camp leaders on location, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the ranch.


    Responsibilities:

    1. Staff Management: Manage a team of instructors, trail guides, and camp leaders, including scheduling, training, and addressing any performance issues.
    2. Site Operations: Ensure that the ranch is running smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
    3. Customer Service: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and effectively.
    4. Policy Implementation: Train and update staff on new policies, procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance and adherence to ranch rules and regulations.
    5. Reservation Management: Utilize our reservation software to ensure that all bookings are coordinated and executed on time.
    6. Horse Care and Transport: Load, transport, and unload horses safely and efficiently using our truck and trailer. Ensure that horses are properly tacked and ready for the day on time, adhering to safety protocols.
    7. Instruction and Trail Riding: Lead lessons and trail rides as needed throughout the day, providing guidance, instruction, and support to riders of all levels.

    Requirements:

    1. Horseback Riding Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of horseback riding experience, with a strong background in teaching lessons and guiding trail rides.
    2. Management Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
    3. Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
    4. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    5. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and safety.
    6. Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    7. Horse Transport Skills: Ability to safely load, transport, and unload horses using a truck and trailer. Experience with horse care and tacking up.
