Northmarq is seeking a Financial Analyst in our Minneapolis (Bloomington, MN) office. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for monitoring all investment sales transactions for the company to ensure compliance with company policy/various state licensing requirements and managing the process of calculating commission payments for all brokers. The best candidate will have a mix of accounting and compliance skills and key competencies include a high degree of customer service and an attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure all investment sales transaction documentation is received and maintained in a consistent manner for all offices in compliance with company policy and various state licensing requirements
- Monitor investment sales pipeline to ensure parties involved in a sales transaction are licensed properly
- Manage licensure renewal efforts and maintain records to monitor compliance with various licensing requirements
- Manage process of calculating commission payments for all brokers
- Prepare and maintain investment sales pipeline and related reporting for all offices
- Monitor referral transactions between companies to ensure all are properly identified and accounted for and ensure compliance with company policy
- Assist investment sales office with various pipeline/transaction related matters
- Assist with various month end accounting and reporting procedures related to the investment sales business
- Manage state business license registrations and renewals for all companies
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- 3 or more years’ experience accounting/finance experience. Previous licensing and/or compliance work experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical skills along with the ability to help drive process improvements.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving skills to reflect the level of responsibilities
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
