FOCUS OF POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Store Manager, the Receiving Supervisor will assist in the day-to-day operations of the back of house receiving area of the store that drive profitable sales.
This individual is involved in solving issues, making informed decisions and supervising the back of house operations in order to achieve maximum results.
Responsibilities include holding an active role in the weekly workload planning meetings, leading the receiving, processing, ticketing, sorting, moving and displaying of merchandise from the shipping/receiving platform through the stockroom to the sales floor.
This individual will work to coach, motivate and encourage teamwork among receiving associates to ensure optimal execution of company strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coach and supervise Receiving / Stock Flow Associates to ensure that the back of house standards and execution strategies are met consistently.
Ensure associates are compliant with established Company policies and standards including timely receipt and distribution of all incoming and outgoing deliveries, accurate processing of all debits/damages, returns-to-vendors (RTV's), charge-backs, transfers and damages by training, coaching and monitoring progress.
Supervises all shipping and receiving functions that affect the store inventory and are processed accurately by verifying purchase orders and ticketing, and auditing the validation and verification reports by training, coaching and monitoring progress.
Maintain a neat and orderly stock, receiving area and sales floor. Participate in weekly Workload Planning Meetings and morning rallies.
As part of the leadership rotation, supervise all functions of the store while in the role of Manager on Duty. This includes leading cashier and receiving responsibilities, resolving customer situations, overall safety and security for all customers and associates.
Assist in interview, selection, orientation and training of associates.
Coordinate meal and break periods and monitor schedule adherence.
Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.personal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
6 months of Supervisory experience preferred but not required, within an Off-price, Big Box or a Specialty environment.
Availability to meet minimum scheduling requirements as set forth by the company including working early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Ability to actively engage for extended periods, move/handle/lift merchandise and performs all functions as set forth above.
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift and move boxes weighing 50 lbs. or more

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
