The main purpose of the Receiving Supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the operations of the Receiving Department and ensure the proper receiving of materials.

Responsibilities & Duties

Supervise Receiving Department

• Supervise employees to ensure all materials received complies with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Train and coach employees on all job functions to ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
• Manage employee performance and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
• Ensure employees follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations in terms of health and safety.
• Participate in the interviewing process for new hires.
• Organize daily team meetings to discuss objectives for safety, goals, and other pertinent issues.
• Prepare daily status reports for productivity of subordinates.

Manage Receiving

• Maintain the quality level of the incoming material.
• Process all incoming supply chain transfer (SCT) shipments with accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the movement of bulk material within Medisca and at 3PL to insure accurate inventory utilizing MEDWMS/SYSPRO.
• Receiving of Non-stock and Stock Material.
• Verify bill of lading (BOL), material movement, receipts, confirmations, adjustments and damages.
• Carry out bin location surveys and perform cycle counts.
• Process return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
• Support health and safety and Spill Team initiatives.

Additional responsibilities

• Conduct service calls for warehouse machinery (i.e. forklift, pallet jack).
• Assist in daily receiving functions.

Travel: Availability to travel for training as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required college and university an asset.
• Five (5) years experience in a supervisory role.
• Three (3) years warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience required (certification within first month of employment through Medisca).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required, Syspro/Vintara an asset.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations required.
• Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations an asset.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills required; fluent English (oral & written).
• Strong work ethic; integrity, reliable.
• Availability to work on weekends when needed.
