Receptionist greets visitors and maintains visitor logs. Completes security procedures such as issuing badges or visitor passes. Being a Receptionist performs administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, arranging transportation, receiving and sending mail and packages. Responds to internal and external inquiries. Additionally, Receptionist may provide back up for clerical projects or route phone calls. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Receptionist works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for the office
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents
- Assist with event planning and coordination
- Coordinate projects and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors
Requirements:
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Previous experience in an administrative or office role is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
