Receptionist jobs in Suffolk, VA
Receptionist greets visitors and maintains visitor logs. Completes security procedures such as issuing badges or visitor passes. Being a Receptionist performs administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, arranging transportation, receiving and sending mail and packages. Responds to internal and external inquiries. Additionally, Receptionist may provide back up for clerical projects or route phone calls. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Receptionist works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Tired of working weekends! No More Chasin' Tails Spay/Neuter Clinic in Newport News, VA is looking to add a part-time (2-3 days per week) receptionist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is flexible, attentive, punctual, hard-working and a team player. No phone calls please. Hours are 7:15 am-4:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Thursday hours are variable.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner in a very fast-paced environment
- Answer and screen phone calls and emails
- Input medical records and discharge surgical patients
- Maintain office cleanliness and organization of resources
- Help clean kennels and mop and sweep the hospital
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of one year experience as as a veterinary receptionist or assistant
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents
- Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner
- Time-management and organizational skills
