Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Supervisor evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Provides training and guidance to end users. Additionally, Records Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. We are looking for a professional and mature person to join our team! Legends Care Center is a 65 bed facility located in Massillon, near the intersection of route 21 and route 30.
The successful candidate must be self-directed, highly organized, and have a medical background. Also must be proficient with computers and great customer service.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To perform all general and specially designated clerical duties in support of file operations and quality customer service, with adherence to facility guidelines and departmental policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Answer phones using appropriate customer service skills
Retrieve and deliver charts to patient care areas when necessary
Assist staff with procurement of records
Pull charts for Medical Staff as requested
Process fax requests for information
Order charts from off-site storage facilities
Assist customer walk-ins as needed
Cover other areas of department and clerical area as needed
Checking computer for record location, purposes of retrieval and filing
File inpatient and outpatient loose documents in the correct area of the correct patient chart
File patient records in correct location
Sort loose documents into terminal digit order
Processing expired patient records
Type labels for PERM folders
Operator functions
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
