Recreational Therapist plans and directs medically approved therapeutic recreational programs for patients. Organizes activities according to patients' capabilities, needs, and interests. Being a Recreational Therapist conducts programs including symptom management, basic conversation skills, community re-entry, sports, gardening, dramatics, music, social activities, and arts and crafts. Prepares reports for patients' physicians describing individual patient symptoms and reactions to therapeutic programs. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic Recreational Gymnastics Manager to oversee our recreational program. We offer a wide range of training programs including classes for children of all ages and many different levels of training, including preschool through advanced gymnastics. We also offer adaptive gymnastics classes and camps for children with special needs. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high quality content for classes and staff training
- Coordinate and supervise recreational athlete development and tracking of student progress
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members and volunteers working in recreational programs to ensure safety and a high-quality experience for all members
- Develop strategies that promote growth and retention through marketing, special events, camps, clinics, etc.
- Manage budgets and financial resources related to our recreational program
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sports coaching or recreation management preferred
- CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and staff members
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Hours:
Typical work week totaling 35-40 hours per week includes a combination of administrative tasks relating to program development, planning meetings with management team, staff training, parent relations, and supervision of classes during peak hours. Paid vacation and sick days are offered.
