Recruiting Director plans, develops, and directs processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Recruiting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Recruiting Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     We are a fast-growing, unique hospitality services company seeking a high-energy Marine Engineering Area Director to lead and support our spectacular fleet of pleasure craft and sailing yachts in the Virgin Islands.     Area Director of Engineering Responsibilities:

    • Daily management and training of all engineering and maintenance personnel
    • Management of all marine maintenance projects
    • Management and execution of fleet maintenance operations, management of fleet vessels and maintenance programs, and management and execution of Coast Guard inspections and documentation
    • Execution of capital asset projects
    • Assist in oversight of associates and daily operations in all company locations as required

    Area Director of Engineering Requirements:

    • 4 years of progressive technical management experience in the maritime industry, preferably with a company in the hospitality, watersports, excursion or expedition arenas
    • The ability to perform technical maintenance and repair on a wide range of marine propulsion and other shipboard systems
    • Strong estimating and job cost management skills
    • Elite level communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with Senior Executives
    • Previous P&L responsibility, with a strong understanding of financial cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes to effectively manage multiple budgets on a routine basis
    • Strong knowledge of, and adherence to, all USCG, OSHA, EPA, and state and local laws and ordinances governing workplace, crew and employee, and environmental safety
    • Proficiency in both G-Suite and Microsoft Office
    • Travel up to 50%, both internationally and domestically
    • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on a high volume of guest and management requests
    • Ability to stand, kneel, and/or engage in physical activity for lengthy periods of time, including lifting moderate to very heavy items
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
