Recruiting Supervisor supervises the activities of the employment department. Oversees a company's recruiting programs, policies, and procedures to develop and utilize various sources of potential applicants to fulfill staffing needs. Being a Recruiting Supervisor reviews and approves content and placement of job postings in newspapers, magazines, trade or professional journals, or online media. Maintains relationships with and visits high schools, trade schools, colleges, job fairs, and related venues as part of recruiting efforts. Additionally, Recruiting Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     Job Description: As a Recruiting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the recruitment process within the organization. You will assist the HR and Talent Acquisition team in various tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn and develop essential recruiting skills while contributing to the growth and success of the company.

    Required Technical Skills: The Recruiting Assistant should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. General computer proficiency is also required. Experience with ADP (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is preferred. Additionally, he or she should be proficient in navigating, searching, inputting data, and working in web browser software, including Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

    Required Education/Experience: An associate degree in Human Resources or similar business-related field is required.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Must be able to travel to various recruiting events as needed.
    • Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations is advantageous.
    • Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the mission, vision, goals, and values of Sterling.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various recruitment channels (job boards, social media, networking, etc.) to identify potential candidates for open positions.
    • Resume Screening: Review incoming resumes and applications, shortlisting candidates who meet the basic qualifications for further consideration.
    • Interview Coordination: Assist in scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring all parties are informed of the interview details.
    • Candidate Communication: Engage with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.
    • Onboarding Support: Serve as the back-up to the HR Assistant with the onboarding process, including preparing new hire paperwork, internal transfer processing; responses to inquiries from the hiring managers, activities related to background and reference checking; coordinating orientation sessions, and facilitating a smooth transition for new employees.
    • Job Postings: Help create and post job descriptions on various platforms, ensuring they are well-written and optimized to attract the right candidates.
    • Recruitment Marketing: Contribute to employer branding efforts, including working with the Marketing team to post social media updates, and crafting engaging content to attract potential candidates.
    • Recruitment Events: Assist in organizing and attending job fairs, career events, and other recruiting activities to promote the company and attract talent.
    • Reporting: Compile recruitment-related data and generate reports to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for the recruitment team.
    • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the HR and Talent Acquisition team as needed.
