    Job Description

    Additional Job Description

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; or a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and experience in a Medical Office, Call Center, and/or customer service business environment and a minimum of 6 months satisfactory work experience in MUHA scheduling is required. Experience with Windows, Excel, Access and Intranet/Internet navigation tools as well as system contact. Experience with, or knowledge of Medical Terminology in healthcare setting preferably within a scheduling or registration function in clinic. Demonstrated ability to work in multiple databases and software applications for management and reporting. Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a busy environment. Strong demonstrated verbal, written, problem solving and presentation skills. Ability to work in self-directed manner while interacting with customers, physicians and departmental partners. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally within healthcare team. Familiarity with MUSC Health and its entities preferred. Demonstrates a high level of customer service skills and ability to clearly articulate via phone with providers and patients.
