The Outpatient Referral Specialist receives communication from referring agencies via phone, fax, email, or secure message for potential admission into the outpatient programs. The Outpatient Referral Specialist will greet referral partners, unplanned individuals and/or family walk-ins with compassion, empathy, a sense of service and urgency, and inform them about programs and services. The Outpatient Referral Specialist will ensure each person receives appropriate assessment by Assessment and Referral (Intake/Admissions. The Outpatient Referral Specialist will serve as a point of contact for the local market, generating business by maintaining direct referral relationships. Thorough and accurate documentation of referrals and other reports are a critical component of this position.
