Summary: Under general direction, manages and directs the day-to-day administration and scheduling for work order requests for vehicles for Pyramid Healthcare. Responsible for optimizing the reloadable bulk transportation network nationwide via communication with terminals, local dispatchers and third party logistics providers. Manage the Central Scheduling team members by establishing key performance metrics and ensure that each scheduler has covered all admissions and discharge planned all drivers within their assigned region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work requires strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to maintain accurate bookkeeping and budget records, and proficiency with computer.
2. Work requires Supervisor will fulfill various supervisory roles such as scheduling, issuing discipline, recommending hiring and recommend approval of vacation and time off requests. Expected competencies include dependability, being action-oriented (pro-active), able to develop the skills of the Transportation Supervisors
3. Work Respond to and resolves customer complaints, including immediate problem-solving, coordinating response with appropriate dispatch personal. (Internal/External)
4. Work requires Monitor trip and dispatch logs and vehicle monitoring software for conformance with schedules and direct preparation and retention of dispatch and vehicle operations records and reports.
5. Work requires problem-solving skills sufficient to effectively coordinate, schedule, and supervise trades and services within established policies, practices, and standards; provide prompt coordination of response to emergencies; and exercise good judgment on daily work processes and department administration.
6. Work requires conducting weekly meetings to inform staff of new procedures and other company-wide information.
7. Work Collaborate with dispatch and admissions personnel to ensure information is accurate and comprehensive for the day-to-day operations. Weekly meeting with Dispatch/Admissions to address transportation supervisors and driver issues.
8. Work requires apply sound communication and motivational techniques, supervise, counsel, and discipline subordinates
9. Must be able to travel 25-50% of the time to various locations.
