Regional Agency Director is responsible for all facets of sales performance for insurance agencies within a designated geographic area. Develops policies, objectives, and initiatives for agencies in the region and is responsible for ensuring the region meets its projected goals. Being a Regional Agency Director coordinates operations with those of other regions. Directs agency and district managers in achieving their goals and objectives of securing the optimum volume of high-quality business at proper cost. Additionally, Regional Agency Director is responsible for number of premiums written per region. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Agency Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Regional Agency Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     The Regional Director generates sales revenue to obtain sales quota.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

    1. Prospect, profile and manage existing producers for new and existing insurance sales opportunities; recruit new producers into book of business

    2. Utilize and understand internal resources to capitalize on team results, and coordinate with supporting team to monitor and drive activity

    3. Develop a Business Plan that details activities to be followed during the fiscal year, which will focus on producing or exceeding quota

    4. Incrementally grow book of business, account, territory, etc. to reflect strategic business plan requirements with a focus on high producing agents to improve retention and production

    5. Maintain proactive sales relationships with producers of respective territory and/or assigned channel/products/accounts through ongoing producer profiling, constant relationship-building, and refining and refreshing broker base

    6. Maintain sales production metrics on a monthly basis, build appropriate sales inventory and achieve sales production plan

    7. Maintain a consistent blend of Permanent versus Term business

    8. Work with and maintain strong working partnerships with Crump’s operations teams (contracting, illustrations, case management, underwriting, commissions, etc.) to effectively issue and place policies

    9. Remain contemporary on relevant industry, legislative and tax-related issues

    10. Provide feedback from agents on product marketing, processing and other related customer service issues

    11. Make required volume of proactive sales calls, sales visits, seminars, marketing campaigns and outreach to drive production

    12. Maintain accurate customer relationship management (CRM) activity records

    13. Presents, conducts and organizes seminars for agents

    14. Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in areas of life, annuity, long-term care, and disability Understanding of the Underwriting process and is able to navigate a case from presale to placement



    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required Qualifications:

    7. Experience with PC’s in a Windows environment

    8. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products 9. Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions

    10. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization

    11. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience

    12. Excellent prospecting, presentation, and conceptual selling skills

    13. Minimum four years of successful sales experience with life insurance products in the insurance industry with proven proficiency in developing strategic sales plan and continually achieving or exceeding assigned quotas

    14. Successful sales experience in the insurance brokerage industry

    15. Expert level knowledge and experience in life products, complex case design, carrier limits/strengths, understanding of which carriers to go to, and advanced sales concepts

    16. Proven sales experience recruiting new producers, growing a book of business, and expanding existing relationships into increased revenue


    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Life insurance license

    2. FINRA securities registration

    3. CLU, ChFC, and CFP certifications
