Job Summary: Under the immediate supervision of the President of Advancement, this position assumes responsibility for marketing projects in Missouri, which would include all branches except: Cape Girardeau, Poplar Bluff, Mountain Grove, and NWMO; programs and social enterprises in Missouri. This manager directly contributes to the planning, creation and deployment of public relations, communications, social media, websites, and digital content along with specific programmatic promotion as informed by department strategic plans and goals.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administrative Leadership & Management
- Maintain strong, open communication with direct supervisor and designated branch directors regarding services delivered, concerns, or questions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and core values of FosterAdopt Connect, and a willingness to perform other duties as required.
- Participate in staff meetings and assist other program staff as needed.
- Participate as an active team member with colleagues of all demographics to effectively and efficiently serve clients.
- Participate as an active team member with all agency departments and attend meetings as assigned.
- Model ethical and professional behavior at all times.
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Marketing & Communications:
- Partner with assigned program leaders and branch directors to create and implement marketing/communications projects which advance the visibility of FosterAdopt Connect programs, services, and community fundraising events.
- Assists with internal communications plans and deployments.
- Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of the assigned marketing goals, both internal and external.
- Engagement with consumers and service participants to expand social networking and awareness campaigns through social media platforms and robust website development/content.
- Develop robust email campaigns, compelling promotional literature, effective press releases, etc. as needed.
- Provide monthly and quarterly website and social media reports (engagement, people reached, etc.) to the marketing and program leadership team.
- Develop and implement content on FAC website as they pertain to branch/program operations.
- Works with internal team to highlight new products/program and new product/program information for print, digital and website content.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews in a fast-paced environment.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal customers, and effectively interfaces with outside marketing/public relations contacts.
- Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Strategic Planning
- Submit quarterly/annual marketing strategies and communication plans that align with agency vision branch goals.
- Provide marketing strategy and guidance to program leaders to develop, coordinate, and implement promotional campaigns.
- Strategize and help execute all existing and new social channels. Create new growth strategies and retention and engagement campaigns.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or graphic design, etc.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in corporate marketing, communications or journalism. Agency experience preferred. Personnel management is experience required.
- Superior project management skills with proven ability to complete complex projects on time
- Professional writing and/or graphic design
- Experience managing and optimizing paid social channels to drive efficient campaigns and a consistent brand voice.
- Experience managing website content, WordPress experience preferred.
- Flexible self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented while meeting all deadlines.
- Must have an appetite to acquire new knowledge and skills quickly and independently.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Use effective communication and interpersonal skills that consistently respect children, adults, and their families.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn and to practice teamwork; patient and compassionate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to commute to meetings within surrounding counties.
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
- Solid commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families.
- A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
