    The Regional Operations Manager will play a vital role in in the development and execution of the TPG Marinas mission in the Northeastern United States. The current portfolio in this area consists of eight properties in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.


    Position Overview: The Regional Manager is responsible for all aspects and operations of the Marina. This role is an ambassador for the Marina, which entails providing strong leadership and strategic planning with all departments in support of our service culture. The Regional Manager will work closely with the management company, owners, and other community partners.


    Responsibilities


    • Provide guidance and leadership to marina management teams.
    • Provide sound financial management to operate within the operating budget and ensure the profitability of the marinas.
    • Ensure properties are operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, as well as TPG Marinas policies and procedures.
    • Ensure the property and equipment are properly maintained.
    • Regular site visits and weekly meetings with GMs to review property condition, financial performance, and strategic planning.
    • Collaborate with General Managers and Department Heads to develop annual budgets, as well as monthly and mid-month financial forecasts, and variance reports.
    • Review and approval of Accounts Payable in accordance with SOP’s.
    • Ensures and operations are conducted, and conditions are maintained to minimize risk and claims. Manage insurance claims.
    • Build and maintain relationships with ownership/client.
    • Rhythm reporting and meetings as required by client and TPG Marinas.
    • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop General Managers, as well as key personnel and positions.
    • Fosters a harassment free workplace and acts promptly to address any human resources concerns.
    • Intervention on customer services issues and complaints as needed.
    • Identify/implement new strategies and partnerships to grow revenues and manage expenses.
    • Coordinate with internal and third-party teams to develop marketing priorities and campaigns.
    • Assist in any operation where a temporary staff shortage creates a problem.
    • Attend and participates in industry events as required by TPG Marinas.
    • Take charge and direct function of all personnel in connection with all emergencies.
    • Any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas.


    Requires advanced knowledge of marina operations principles and practices. Five or more years of related leadership experience.

    Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

    Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs.  Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs.  Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.  The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.  The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
