Summary of Responsibilities: The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the overall supervision of the Operations department across three South Florida facilities - Olympus, Summit and Transformations Treatment Center - as well as the coordination of behavioral health services for all clients of these programs. Essential Duties: Responsible for driving UpHealth Behavioral culture through core values and customer service standards across three facilities in South Florida (Olympus Recovery, Summit Detox and Transformations Treatment Center). Work directly with the Executive Vice President of Operations to determine overall departmental strategy and goals, with specific ownership of financial and operational objectives. Develops and maintains effective relationships with Directors of Nursing and Clinical Services. Mentor, supports and provides subject matter expertise to Managers and reports. Ensure that all departments are communicating and working effectively together to maintain the continuity of care for all clients. Coordinate with the Medical Team and Utilization Management when necessary to ensure appropriate information is available to resolve review issue with insurance companies and discharge planning. Oversee all interaction with outside referral businesses and ensure that the relationship and coordination with these businesses is up to standards, is positive and productive. Ensures preparation for all tours of the facility and provides necessary information to perspective referrals collectively with Outreach Coordinators. Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals, implementing new ideas to improve the flow of information with bed space, discharge information within our company and with outside referral businesses. Implement and manage operations policies and procedures in conjunction with Operations Leadership Team Manage all documentation on all issues at designated location not limited to incident reports, Department of Health logs and quality control. Assist with all DCF, and JCAHO requirements for ongoing performance improvement plans, ensuring all quality control and compliance are up to standards with each Department. Work in conjunction with Operations Leadership Team to oversee all emergency response situations: Fire alarms, drills, etc. Assists with creating and achieving short term and long term goals for the Operations Department. Coordinates, facilitates and attends staff trainings and staff meetings. Provides input regarding staffing needs and the BHT schedules. Helps familiarize new staff to the department and program. Provides input as to the growth and development of staff for various positions and responsibilities. Communicates with staff either verbally or through written communication. Work in conjunction with Operations Leadership Team in providing additional supervision of BHTs and feedback on their performance, conducting coaching’s/disciplinary actions, and conducting employee performance evaluations. Attends trainings as necessary. Attend mandatory facility QI meetings. Attend weekly Operations Leadership meetings. Work in conjunction with Operations Leadership Team for interviewing and hiring of all candidates for BHT position. Work in conjunction with Operations Leadership Team to develop training Assist with operational issues after hours when designated to be the on call point of contact. Communicate with outside vendors when needed. Manage and monitor all billing for Ancillary Services performed at designated facility. Complete weekly expense report and submit via expensify. Ensure completion of client surveys and track results monthly. Attend designated facility morning meetings. Assigns all clients housing to ensure their safety, compatibility, support, and comfort. Works with all appropriate departments to address any bed sheet/housing issues. Ensures 100% accuracy with live bed board. Coordinate all maintenance building repairs and keeps on going inventory of completed lists. Communicate building and housing beautification needs with each facility’s Ops Manager. Track and communicate all van maintenance and keeps on going inventory of van related issues. Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment. Works with all appropriate departments to address client issues. Makes Operational recommendations to the Clinical team regarding clients’ well-being and success in recovery. Assists with interventions of clients. Assists with the confiscation of items. Follows objectives of treatment plans. Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention. Assists with the intake process of new clients into the program. Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input. Performs clerical duties as needed, maintains files and records concerning client activities. Additional responsibilities and duties assigned by the Executive Vice President of Operations. Adheres to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines, and procedures. Necessary Abilities: Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately. Flexible and adaptable. Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner. Calm and decisive in crisis situations. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful and occasionally hostile situations. Ability to develop and sustain a team environment. Operate a fax/copy machine and telephone. Computer Knowledge. Operate a passenger van. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work. Understands the principles of detoxification, addiction and psychiatric treatment. Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in verbal & written skill. Knowledgeable of Client Rights and treats all client with dignity and respect in a consistent, caring manner.
