REGIONAL MANAGER - INDUSTRIAL WATER TREATMENT
We are currently looking for a Regional Manager to lead business development efforts at Weas Engineering (an Apex Water and Process Inc. company) and be responsible for sales and service activities at various accounts in northern Ohio! JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Regional Manager will be to lead and mentor a team of Area and Account Managers in maintaining and expanding the Company?s business base in a specific georgraphic area by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts and acquiring new customers.
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Area and Account Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with existing clients, and develop strategies to expand our client base in the region to ensure attainment of Company sales goals and profitability
- Service key accounts
- Generate value by sharing ideas and identifying long-term opportunities to grow our organization in numerous ways
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
- Prepare action plans for individuals, as well as teams, for effective sales campaigns
- Conduct one-on-one reviews with all direct reports to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the improvement of their sales and activity performance
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on regional performance, including key performance indicators, financial metrics, and market insights
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and reports submitted by direct reports
- Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses and assist direct reports in preparation of proposals and presentations
- Control expenses to meet Company guidelines
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 years of experience in technical sales and service in industrial water treatment or specialty chemicals industry
- 3 years of team leadership experience
- Working knowledge of cooling tower systems, steam generation, and chilled/hot/process water closed-loop systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn internal business systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills
- Mechanical/technical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and without supervision; effectively plan, organize and execute activities
- Valid driver?s license and adherence to Company standards for operating motor vehicle
- Ability and willingness to physically provide service at customer facilities within a wide range of environments
- Ability and willingness to be away from home for overnight travel 3-4 nights/month
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor?s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 6 years of experience in technical sales and service in industrial water treatment or specialty chemicals industry
- 3 years of team leadership experience
- Proven history of achieving and exceeding sales goals consistently
