Job Title: Retail Banking Specialist
Reports to: Marketing Officer
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for increasing focus on selling products to customers by providing training and daily attention to gathering customer deposits, increasing both debit and credit card activity and driving specific marketing promotions across the entire bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create a product sales calendar with specific marketing promotions.

Prepare each banking center for specific marketing promotions.

Provide sales techniques and proper communication tools for employees to use when gaining new customers during specific marketing promotions.

Assist with the design and implementation of sales/growth campaigns.

Understand the various differences in banking centers and utilize their strengths and unique cultures to grow customer business.

Work with training department on increasing product knowledge to employees.
-
Increase the efficiency of delivery of bank products to customers.

Oversee the business banking services that we provide and potentially oversee other sales staff.

Measure success of specific marketing promotions.

Be a subject matter expert on all TCB retail banking products to answer daily questions of employees in choosing the right product for the customer.

Provide a consistent policy for charging/waiving fees for customers.

Conduct regular meetings at banking centers to make sure they are promoting products and services.

Research the markets we are in for fee comparisons, rate comparisons, etc.

Comply with and assist others in complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations as it pertains to the functions of this position.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with other creative services as needed.

Assist the bank in efforts to obtain and retain customers.

Responsible for maintaining individual P.E.P. monthly.

Assist the Bank in efforts to obtain and retain customers.

Conduct duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the Bank’s profitability goals, including helping the bank not to lose money and helping the Bank save money by improving job processes and achieving operational excellence.

Adequate cross training of all job duties have been considered.

Other duties as assigned by Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of banking laws and regulations as they pertain to this position

Knowledge of core processing system.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suites software, and effective computer skills.

Ability to deal continuously with confidential information and to work under deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and accuracy.

Self-starter and the ability to research and stay current on banking laws.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Travel is expected in this position. Required to travel to all banking centers on a regular basis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Previous banking experience required.
