Regional Retail Store Construction Manager oversees and directs retail store construction projects within a specified region.     What you’ll do as a Project Manager:

    • Work with client from the start of each project to ensure compliance with the project scope and vision.
    • Plan and execute the entire construction project in collaboration with the design team.
    • Apply for and acquire all necessary permits for the project.
    • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules and phasing plans.
    • Monitor and control the project by working in tandem with superintendents to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
    • Evaluate bids, do scope assessments and letters of recommendation when required.
    • Write and issue subcontract agreements and ensure that the subcontractor adheres to their contract obligations.
    • Procure all materials either directly or through subcontractors to ensure products are on site and ready for install when needed.
    • Prepare and process change orders to both owners and subcontractors.
    • Provide owner with monthly reports as required by owner contract or otherwise.
    • Complete monthly requisitions, assuring that they are completed on time as to not delay payments to Harvey and its subcontractors.
    • Manage the project documentation and files per company standard operating procedures.
    • Implement, prepare, and maintain monthly Indicated Outcome Reports (IOR), budget, and schedule controls.
    • Attend project-related meetings, capture minutes, and record issues.
    • Work with the architect, engineer and commissioning agents to ensure all project commitments have been fulfilled in regard to commissioning, punch list and project closeout documents.
    • Acquire certificate of substantial completion from the architect and work with project superintendent to ensure that all appropriate agency sign offs have occurred in order to obtain the project certificate of occupancy.
    • Assign various tasks to assistant project managers and ensure those tasks are completed in a timely manner.
    • Review all assistant project manager’s work for completeness and accuracy before sending to client.
    • Assist in training and mentoring assistant project managers.

    Your knowledge, skills, and experience:

    • 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
    • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Civil Engineering, Planning and Development, Construction Management or related field.
    • Ability to monitor and administer multi-million-dollar construction projects.
    • Possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and develop statistical reports and calculations.
    • Must possess working knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Oracle P6 PRO & EPPM, Procore, and Sage).
    • Possess working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and budgeting practices.
    • Ability to read and interpret building/site plans and specifications.
    • Ability to prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
