Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Being a Regional Sales Manager designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. Additionally, Regional Sales Manager collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Regional Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Regional Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. In this role, you will: Own your number using all the resources and systems at your disposal to include Stackline, IRI, Amazon Reporting, etc. Review daily shipments and weekly consumption trends. Key owner of contact for both internal planning process and well as external (Customer-facing) Joint Business Planning: Own the direct relationship with the Amazon buyer over your respective categories. Become highly proficient at Amazon's portal, calendar, and process requirements in their selling process. Create and execute the promotional plan and new item planning to include funds management and Customer forecasting and budget management system updates.Analyze trends across competition and focus on what is driving/affecting your business at Amazon. Identify opportunities for growth. Own the quota negotiations internally and track the ongoing volume forecast at Amazon Own supply management and manage internal and external expectations around key issues that may arise. Own the trade fund checkbook to ensure efficient use of resources while also avoiding overspends. Clearly communicate both positive and negative progress frequently to your Team leader. Create opportunities to coordinate high level meetings to ensure we stay aligned with the high level strategy of the customer. Own the relationship with our digital marketing agency to accelerate growth and drive the best experience for the Amazon consumer. Work closely with brand manager to drive a media plan that supports key initiatives and BU priorities. Take action and engage the headquarters sales planning business unit planning contact when competitive activity or drivers arise that will cause gaps to the plan. This position has a high-level of organizational exposure and has fantastic growth potential!
