This position is located in the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities. The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is the official arts agency of the District of Columbia. The mission of CAH is to provide grants, programs, and educational activities that encourage diverse artistic expressions and learning opportunities so that all District of Columbia residents and visitors can experience the rich culture of our city.
The purpose of this position is to assist with surveying, scheduling, accessioning, and research relating to per manent valuable Artworks within the Portable and Installed Public Art collections and related records management for the Public Art Department of the CAH.
Supports the Public Art department with registration duties, database and project management related to collection records, object handling, and conservation projects for CAH's Art Bank, installed Public Art, and other portable art collections. Assists with object tracking and data entry in CAH's content management database. Assists with report production for various projects from CAH's content management database and checking for accuracy.
