Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Registrar contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

    The Registrar provides leadership and oversight for the establishment, maintenance, and integrity of all academic student records. The Registrar also maintains accurate records related to the approved curriculum along with providing and maintaining processes for the recording and reporting of student grades. The Registrar supervises all processes and systems related to registration of students and serves to provide support related to registration or the submission of grades while providing a high-quality customer service experience to students and staff. The Registrar shall perform all duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the valuing of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college's commitment to the Guiding Principles.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
    • An acute attention to detail, ability to understand the complexity of course and degree requirements as they change from year to year, and the ability to discern course equivalencies for transfer by using catalog, syllabi, or other relevant sources.
    • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information and records.
    • Ability to quickly learn new systems, such as student information systems and web-based portals.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management with demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and effectively execute multiple initiatives, programs, and events, while meeting established deadlines.
    • Strong customer service skills. Ability to approach others in a tactful manner, react well under pressure, treat all others with respect and consideration and accept responsibility for one's own actions.
    • Strong interpersonal communication with a demonstrated ability to establish and develop productive and collegial relationships with college constituencies (e.g., staff, faculty, students, managers, etc.).
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally.
    • Computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to work occasional long and irregular hours as necessary.
    • Ability to travel as necessary to carry out job duties.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution.
    • Experience working in financial aid, advising, admissions or other student services area.
    • Strong working knowledge of student information systems and web-based portals.
    • Experience working with databases and/or information systems.

    Salary and Benefits:

    $50,200 to $60,260 based on education, skills and experience. Candidates with a Master's degree may receive an additional $3,200 base increase. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, LTD & benefit package including tuition reimbursement, in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

    About Morgan Community College (MCC):

    MCC is one of 13 colleges comprising the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). The college has consistently been named a Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education in the past decade.

    MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. MCC provides high quality lower division transferable courses and occupational education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods to an 11,500 square mile service area in eastern Colorado.

    The College serves this vast, rural, agricultural area from its main campus in Fort Morgan and through four regional locations in Bennett, Limon, Burlington and Wray. These locations are 75 to 150 miles from the campus in Fort Morgan.
