Registrar oversees university/college's system of student records. Responsible for class registration, assigning classroom space, and updating student records. Position Summary :
Interview patients in a courteous, efficient, and accurate manner to ensure correct and complete information is obtained and documented.
Assess the patient's ability to complete admission process prior to going to their hospital room or receiving services. Alert clinical staff if the patient needs immediate attention.
Verify patients demographic information and identification. Obtain required information from payor systems to ensure maximum reimbursement of all accounts.
Identify patients with non-participating plans and resolves issues with appropriate staff and physicians. Verify and prepare all necessary forms, documents, plates, labels, and wristbands to ensure proper patient identification based on patient type.
Maintain current knowledge and competency of all government and third party payors which are complex and ever-changing.
Education Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements :
One (1) year experience in customer service or healthcare registration. Demonstrated verbal communication skills are required.
