The ER Patient Access/Registration position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while obtaining patient demographics and insurance information from patient's presenting to the Emergency Department at BSA Hospital for treatment, as well as collecting copays and deductibles when applicable.
All current available ER positions are 10 hour shifts/30 hours per week as follows:
Night shift
9pm - 730am every Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday, Sunday
Day Shift
6am - 430am every Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday Sunday
730am - 6pm every Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday, Sunday
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Access staff are responsible for collecting insurance and demographic information, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, creating estimates, and collecting payments.
- They are to adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in these interactions with the appropriate level of compassion. Patient Access staff will be held accountable for point of service goals as assigned.
- The Patient Access Staff are responsible for explaining consents and various other forms the patient/guarantor/legal guardian and obtains necessary signatures.
- This position reviews eligibility responses in the insurance verification system and appropriately selects the applicable insurance plan code, enters benefit data into the system to support POS (Point of Service Collections) and billing processes to assist with a clean claim rate.
Required Qualifications

- - CRCR Required within 6 months of hire
