Regulatory Affairs Director oversees regulatory matters and executes the strategy to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Develops processes and systems to ensure that all necessary licensing, filings, certifications, and permits are processed and monitored. Anticipates new or changing regulations and coordinates with internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address changes in product, operations, or testing requirements. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Director investigates and addresses any reported issues of non-compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Regulatory Affairs Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Regulatory Specialist to lead our efforts in ensuring compliance with new FDA cosmetic regulatory requirements.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data management, excel in working within teams, and demonstrate exceptional skills in navigating regulatory landscapes within the cosmetics industry.



    Responsibilities:

    Assist in the assessment, interpretation, and implementation of new FDA cosmetic regulatory requirements. Ensure company practices and products align with updated guidelines.

    Maintain and manage regulatory documentation, including product dossiers, ingredient information, safety assessments, and compliance records.

    Establish and oversee a robust data management system to track regulatory changes and updates.

    Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Legal to ensure alignment and compliance across all aspects of product development, marketing, and distribution.

    Utilize SAP systems effectively for data entry, analysis, and reporting related to regulatory compliance. Provide support and guidance to streamline processes within SAP to meet regulatory standards.

    Independently drive projects related to regulatory compliance, including audits, submissions, and filings. Maintain timelines and ensure deliverables are met promptly.

    Review and approve labeling and advertising materials for compliance with global regulations.

    Develop and implement departmental and divisional policies and procedures.

    Responsible for regulatory compliance under applicable agencies.

    Research upcoming regulations and advises on impact of such regulations on the company.

    Provides advice and counsel with respect to product labeling and literature relative to compliance with applicable regulations.

    Represents company in dealing with agencies and trade associations.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science etc.).

    2-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the cosmetics, consumer goods or related industry.

    Proficiency in SAP systems for data management and reporting.

    Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    Strong understanding of FDA cosmetic regulations and industry standards.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

    Proven track record of being detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.



    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master's degree in Regulatory Affairs or related field.

    Certification in Regulatory Affairs (RAC) or similar accreditation.

    Experience with cosmetic regulatory requirements.
