Regulatory Affairs Specialist supports the oversight of regulatory matters and strategy implementation to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process. Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     The Position: We’re looking for I&D Regulatory Principle Specialist to:

    • Support Innovation & Development department by providing regulatory statements and documents and providing regulatory and safety training for OTC, Medical Device, and Prescription drug forms.
    • Validate formulas and packaging from a regulatory and safety standpoint.
    • Monitor regulatory and safety changes and proposes regular updates in I&D policy.

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • A track record of demonstrated experience in Chemical, Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical, and/or Safety regulation field.
    • A track record of demonstrated experience with domestic and international OTC, and/or Rx regulations including but not limited to US, Canada, EU, Australia, and China.
    • Technical knowledge of chemistry.

    Preferred Additional

    • Experience with Master Control is preferred.
    • Experience with shipping regulation and toxicology is preferred.
    • Technical awareness of microbiology and environmental sciences is preferred.
    • Technical and/or regulatory awareness of aerosols is preferred.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to create spreadsheets, graphs and reports.

    MININMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

    • PhD in Pharmacology

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

    • Reports to I&D Manager/Director
    • (This position has no direct reports.)
