Regulatory Affairs Specialist supports the oversight of regulatory matters and strategy implementation to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations. Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process. Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     • Collect and analyze data related to the Army's annual budget and legislative submissions
    • Support agency’s role in the Army's PRESBUD submission process
    • Collect and analyze congressional defense (Army) authorization and appropriation bills and specific provisions
    • Review funding lines to provide routine updates to Army stakeholders on the legislative process
    • Provide analysis of the Authorization/Approps bills as they move from Committee to floor votes to conference and signature by POTUS or another designee
    • Analyze DOD and Army-related congressional news and write clear, concise overviews for Army stakeholders on a routine basis
    • Provide written analyses supporting briefings to AMC leaders on status of bills, reporting requirements, etc.
    • Support receipt, analysis, and conduct required staffing for responses to congressional inquiries and other legislative requests for information on a timely basis
    • Review, process, and track intricate information requests in a fast-paced work environment
    Job Requirements
    • US citizenship required
    • Possess or eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Strong understanding of the Department of Defense PPBE process
    • Possess at least 2 years of relevant legislative knowledge
    • Prior experience in a congressional office (preferred)
    • Experience with web-based task management tools and other analytical support programs
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of digital metrics and the wider digital industry
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
    • Must successfully pass a background check

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
