Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process. Being a Regulatory Affairs Specialist monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Additionally, Regulatory Affairs Specialist participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. This entry level position is responsible for supporting our paint and coatings product compliance and regulatory needs along with our EHS record keeping and reporting. The right candidate will serve as a critical member of our new product development team, working as a liaison between our EHS group and our Product Management, Sales, and Customer Care teams. Accountabilities:
Product Regulatory Affairs:
o Accurately produce Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for our finished good products; review product labels and safety documentation
o Answer customer regulatory questions related to our products
Environmental Health & Safety:
o Maintain records and prepare periodic regulatory reports; participate in safety audits
o Coordinate hazardous waste activities to include record keeping and pickup at factory, warehouse, and service center locations
