Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Relations Liaison typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Senior Paralegal, Oversight Liaison and Counsel

  • Provides paralegal support to the Office of Oversight Liaison and Counsel (OLC) attorneys and senior management. This position works independently on assignments related to SEC Oversights, Access Requests and Confidential Treatment Requests under the supervision of the OLC attorneys.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Drafts correspondence related to SEC and other government agency requests, summarizes and creates matrices of complex requests and productions, submits responses to SEC requests, prepares analysis of points of law and regulatory agreements, assists with drafting and editing policies, procedures and training materials, prepares metrics, for the review, approval, and use by attorneys.
    • Supports attorneys by proofreading, editing, formatting, and finalizing legal correspondence through to execution, as well as quality assurance reviews, at all times exhibiting a diligent and meticulous approach to detail.
    • Tracks performance and drafts summary outcomes of programs monitored by OLC attorneys.
    • Assists with government production file management administration activities.
    • Assists in tracking and reporting of key performance indicators and other metrics and data used for management and Board reporting.

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of legal office experience as a paralegal.
    • Paralegal certificate, or the equivalent, preferred.
    • Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal or compliance preferred.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills required.
    • Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills required.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite products (including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

    Work Conditions:

    • Must use a computer daily.  Some extended hours may be required.
    • Work is normally performed in a hybrid office environment.
    • Must possess ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.

    For work that is performed in CA, Washington, DC, CO, HI, MN, VT, New York, NY, WA and MD the chart below outlines the proposed salary range for the corresponding location. In addition to location, actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.

    California: Minimum Hourly Rate $37.94, Maximum Hourly Rate $70.63

    Washington, DC/Maryland: Minimum Hourly Rate $37.94, Maximum Hourly Rate $67.65
    Colorado/Hawaii/Minnesota/Vermont: Minimum Hourly Rate $32.96, Maximum Hourly Rate $58.84
    New York, NY: Minimum Hourly Rate $39.52, Maximum Hourly Rate $70.63
    Washington State: Minimum Hourly Rate $32.96, Maximum Hourly Rate $67.65

    Time Off and Paid Leave*

    FINRA encourages its employees to focus on their health and wellness in many ways, including through a generous time-off program of 15 days of paid time off, 5 personal days and 9 sick days (all pro-rated in the first year). Additionally, we are proud to support our communities by providing two volunteer service days (based on full-time schedule). Other paid leave includes military leave, jury duty leave, bereavement leave, voting and election official leave for federal, state or local primary and general elections, care of a family member leave (available after 90 days of employment); and childbirth and parental leave (available after 90 days of employment).
